dead Cthulhu waits dreaming.

Some terror in the swishing grass
was added to the sound of the pounding sea.
And I started up crying aloud and disjointedly -
"Tiger! Tiger!"

Some terror drifted in betwixt the folding arms of cryptic night.
Some terror scratched beneath the floorboards of that foetid rented room.

Behold! Star-wind. Madness. Suffering. Great Old One.

Some terror took me in its breast beneath the looming gibbous moon.
Some terror led me to a blackness darker than the sea.

Certainly a controversial direction for the band, but this album ultimately rests as my favorite from TTNG. The technical mastery of their previous albums is still present here along with some very thought provoking and philosophical lyrics. I may not always agree with the lyrical messaging, but this is an album which rewards careful listening. Syobnaf
